Buchi, 2022
Series, Collages
variable dimensions
The series 'Buchi' is a captivating art series inspired by the Italian word for 'holes'. In this project, leftover images from my cut-outs, the 'negatives' are layered to form spontaneous combinations. The juxtaposition of these elements gives rise to unique and compelling narratives, inviting viewers into a world of creative exploration.- Immagine JPEG 2.web

Merge the visible, 2020
Photograph 'An artwork should be produced in the spectator's head' - Santiago Sierra. In my practice, the action of removing parts of an image aims to recover the role of imagination as a value to construct our knowledge. So the figurative is used as a metaphor, to express a concept or a feeling. I like to speak for universal values, and an excerpt from an image can create an initial suggestion. Furthermore, the lack of connotations of any person shown in my artworks blocks any documentary reading. In this image, a cut-out photograph is standing in the exhibition space. It only gives us a suggestion of the bigger image. Let your mind imagine the rest of the picture! -
Sky Ladder, 2020
Photograph Installation view of a potential sculpture I often sketch my idea into space - as architectural renderings - because I need to see what would be the relationship of that image/figure within the exhibition space. The relationship between the artwork and its location has an expressive value for the work itself. The same is for the action of cutting out the figure from its original background: it has something to do with a specific and personal feeling, this being out of place and cut out from the context. Although, the choice of the subjects has more to do with a social/political environment. The repetition and flatness are typical of the digital era, so the choice of using photography seems to be the perfect medium to express our ambiguous time, where borders between reality and appearance become blurred. -
The Supper, 2020
The work represents a potential sculpture in an installation space. Architectural renderings are for me a way to sketch-up my ideas, sometimes they become actual sculptures, sometimes they remain drawings of my imagination. -
Confidential agreement Vol.I, 2020
How we live, think and represent the space is one of my main interests. The photograph talks about the relationship between body and space. -
